My Last Post of the DECADE?!?! 2019 in a Nutshell

Hi, everyone. I'm back for another post, and have some sad news to share...

This is my last post of the decade.

*tears up*

Okay maybe that was too dramatic, but it's true! This is my last post of the decade! It's pretty crazy to think that this blog has been around for nearly half of a decade. The blog started in 2015, and it's amazing to see how far we've come! Lots of bloggers have come and left, but I'm grateful for each and every one of them!

Who knows, maybe this blog will be around for half of a decade more! I'm excited to see what this next year and this next decade holds for AJFC!

Anywho, last year I did a post called "2018 in a Nutshell" and decided to do the same thing this year! This is basically just me reviewing the year and how it went for me. Feel free to do the same thing in the comments! Let's gooooo!

2019 In a Nutshell (According to Gracie)

~

Overview of 2019:

This year really was great. One of the biggest highlights for me was that I started my first job! It's a volunteer writing job, and I just recently got promoted. It's been so great having an amazing group of Christian writers around me. They all really feel like family. I got to go to nine Christian concerts this year, and met a total of thirteen artists! Although this year there have been a few challenges in our church, this year was amazing! I feel like God has given me this year as a time of rest after all I went through in 2018, watching my sister literally almost die, and taking care of my niece full time while my sister was in the hospital and recovering. That was for sure a crazy season, so this year has really just been a time to breathe. God is always doing such amazing things in my life, and has given me so much hope for the future. I'm so excited to see what's to come in 2020! If I had to choose one word (well... make that two words) to sum up 2019, it would be "God's favor," because I've seen His favor so much this year.

Bible verse of 2019:

Definitely Matthew 19:26, which says:

"Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"

At the beginning of the year a friend (acquaintance??) sent me that verse, and it really became my verse for 2019. I feel like I've defied a lot of odds this year, which reminds me that with God all things are possible. From our human stand point, a lot of things look impossible. But with God, all things are possible.

Song of 2019:

Oooh boy... I think I'm gonna go with Fear No More by Building 429. Overall it's a really great song both musically and lyrically, but there's one line in that song that especially sticks out to me. "This isn't what I'd choose / but it's where I'm finding You." Honestly, there's been a lot of situations this year that I would have never chosen, but God did. And that's where I'm finding Him. I would never have chosen our church situations, but it's where I'm finding God. I guess you would say I'm in the music industry now, and would I have chosen this position for myself ten years ago? Probably not. But God did, and I love I'm loving it, and finding Him through it. Fear No More has been an anthem for me.

Album of 2019:

I'm going with No Shame by Tenth Avenue North. That album is, as the kids say, "all the feels." Seriously, if you haven't listened to it, YOU NEED TO. Some of the songs will make you want to dance, some will make you want to cry. It's seriously exceptional.

Music video of 2019:

I really don't know why I have some of these categories. Who do I think I am? The K-LOVE Fan Awards?!?! I apologize for the randomness of this post.
Although this music video released last year, I really like it. It's great. It's called Burn The Ships by for KING & COUNTRY! Enjoyyyyy.

Book of 2019:

Again, really random. This blog post should be titled, "these are a few of my favorite things... of 2019." But then I would have to talk about silver white winters, and girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes.
*Cough*
Moving on. (if u know u know)

I read a couple of books this year, but my favorite would have to be "Not Forsaken" by Louie Giglio. It's such a powerful message about God being a perfect father. Jesus was forsaken by God, so we would never have to be. If you get a chance, I would encourage you to read that book!

Quote of 2019:

Not sure I can classify this as "quote of 2019," because I just heard it recently. But when I heard it, it really stuck with me.

"Less leads to the best" -Louie Giglio

Pretty short quote, but it's so good. It's a quote I've been reminding myself of, and holding onto this month.

I'd love for you to fill out your answers under these seven categories! Be sure to comment them down below! I'll be on the lookout for them, and I'll respond to each one! :)

Have a great week, and a wonderful 2020!

Giving Gifts on Animal Jam to Those In Need

Hello y'all! Welcome back to another blog post. Today, I am going to be doing just another random act of kindness. 5 days is Christmas, and for me this is my favorite time of the year. This time of the year, (though I don't believe that Jesus was born in this season, or on Christmas day,) It's a time to celebrate how God sent His Son to die for us! I am so excited to celebrate that this year, which is always the most important part of the season! I am going to admit though, I am excited for the presents, but I'm more excited to celebrate His birth than presents because presents will just fade away, but the Son of God will never fade away.

I have been growing out of Animal Jam lately, so I decided that I wanted to do something a little bit different than what I normally do. Instead of doing a Christmas countdown or something like that, I decided that I wanted to give gifts to the Jammers that love this game, and are really looking forward to Christmas this year! So, why not get into it, shall we?

I am going to be giving away one beta to each person. I will be giving to 5 people today! Let's get onto it. :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First, I'm going to go to Jamaa. I decided that I was going to give to the New Jammers, so that they would have a little something to get them by. :) Let's go!
First, I went to a New Jammer's den and they did not come. They might've not noticed? Maybe they don't know how to get around yet? Yeah, that's probably it. Now let me go find another new jammer... 🤣🤣
Alright, I found a new jammer! I decided to give them my only non member den beta that I was possibly looking to trade, and they were so happy! I'm so glad that I can make people happy. You can also make people happy! :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
They were so happy! First they were a little bit suspicious, but then once they got it, they said: "TYSM" :)
3 more to go!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was the sweetest thing ever. I went to give a new jammer this...

and they totally flipped out! It's always fun giving, but make sure you are a cheerful giver! I'm SO excited for Christmas this year. Are y'all excited? I still can't believe It's only 5 more days until Christmas. I'm just trying to tell myself that It's far away. LOL But It's not! Let's continue. :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was not able to get a screen shot of this one, but I traded them a Television. At first when I went to trade, they declined because a Television is member's only. They did not know that nonmembers can trade member items. So I told them that you can't use it, but you can trade it for another item. They realized that you could, and they accepted. :)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I found this New Jammer in Jamaa, just laying there, with a bunch of necklaces on trade. I decided that it would be the perfect time to give away my last beta, so I did! They said "tysm!" once I gave it to them. I totally recommend doing this, because It is so fun to see their reactions even though you guys are just behind the screen.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I also wanted to thank you guys so much for crazy views on the 11/27/19 blog post. I got almost 400 views which is crazy! Thank you guys for viewing it. :)
I guess that's it for today guys! I hope you enjoyed. HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS! Bye!!

Here's today's meme!

I love this meme so much, literally. The dog looks soooo guilty! LOL

And here's today's Bible verse!
Luke 1:31 (KJV)
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

Winter Den Decorating 2019 + Jamtastic Prizes

GOOOOOOOOOOOOD afternooon!!!!!

What? Not afternoon either? Okay, okay, I got it this time!

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD EVENING EVERYONE OUT THERE!!!

Oh, whatever!

__________________________________________________________________

Hello everybody! I am really sorry about last week. I had finals last week, YIPPEE, and I went to take a nap after them, well, I kind of overslept and didn't have enough time to post before church at that point. I am super sorry! I am here with another post though.

The last couple of months have been busy and rough emotionally. That's why you haven't seen me every week. Not only that, but Animal Jam has been going downhill over the last 2-3 years. As many of you may know.

Anyway, let's get into the post. I'm going to be decorating a den! As many of you know, I love decorating dens and I haven't done my winter den yet, since it's technically not the start of winter yet. Though, it does feel like it! Let's get into it!

I'm going to be decorating the newest AJ den, Regal Winter Palace.

This is my really awkward bedroom. Okay, so the bedroom isn't really that awkward, but the bed is! Like I really don't know. It kind of looks like someone fell through it...moving on, now!

This is the children's play room and bedroom I guess, because I just now realized I didn't have a kid's bedroom! Oooops! Bad parent am I!

Here we have the entrence of the house. Is it called a foyer? :Looks it up: Yep, I believe this would be considered a foyer! I'm so smart!

This be my living room, I mean...This is my living room. Poor little tree lost all of it's ornaments. I didn't want to spend my gems on ornaments...I'm sorry!

This is my office. I love homes that have offices, just a little fun fact about me. We've never had a home with an extra room for an office, but it sure would be cool!!

Now, that I'm thinking about it. I didn't need this room and it could've been the children's bedroom. Though, it's quite small. Anyway, this is the present room, because mom and dad need to hide those presents from the kids.

This is one outside picture. I don't have much to say about it...

Lastly, we have the outside picture number 2. :P
I give this den a 7/10 in my opinion, as I think I could have done better in some areas. Let me know what you guys think!

Now, on to the little segment I like to call...Jamtastic Prizes!  I'm not going to talk much about them, just pretty much list them and move on, as I have 2 full weeks to update you all on...that's 28 prizes! Yikes!

Today's Encouraging Quote:

Bless God for the translation of the Scriptures. The Word is our sword; by being translated, the sword is drawn out of its scabbard. — William Gurnall

Today's Bible Verse:
Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; - Ecclesiastes 12:1 (KJV)

Remember, the best friend you have is Jesus Christ.
