What Can We Learn From Animal Jam?

Goooooooood afternoon everyone! I'm glad you're joining me today! I think you'll enjoy this post, as I certainly enjoyed writing it. I'm sorry there's no crazy intro today, I'm well...kind of running out of time to write (again, what do you know). Anyway, today we're going to be talking about things that we can learn from Animal Jam.

I'm really sorry for not posting last week. I was in the middle of working on this post, when my aunt and uncle came. They surprised my sister and I. My mom knew they were coming though.  I haven't seen them in about a year. They live very far away, so I don't get to see them often. Therefore, I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible. Anyway, let's just jump right into it.

_________________________________________________________________
1) Animal facts:

All throughout Animal Jam you can find animal facts. I'll name a few places:

The Journey Book

The journey book holds a lot of facts, whether it be bugs, plants, reptiles, or mammals. You're sure to learn a lot of really interesting facts by completing your journey book. Is it not only about learning some really cool facts, but you're also going on a scavenger hunt for the animals and you get a reward once you've found all the animals in the land.

Chamber of Knowledge

In the Chamber of Knowledge there are some books. Here you are able to read about certain animals. Then at the end you can test your knowledge on the animal and win really cool animal trophies.

Brady's Theater

This is located in Temple of Zios. You can watch Brady Barr's videos. You can even ask him a question and he may answer it in one of his videos in the future. It's really cool to learn about these animals and see him actually handle them too!

2) How to be safe online:

Being online you need to stay safe. Just like in a city there are "bad" parts of town. There can be "bad" parts of the internet too. Animal Jam tries to keep there Jammers safe, by teaching them how to stay safe in Animal Jam. They also celebrate "Safer Internet Day" Which is coming up very soon on February 11th, this year.

There are two videos that you can watch in Sarapia Forest, which teach you how to be safe when trading and how to keep your account safe.

In the chamber of knowledge there is a place to take the the online safety quiz. When you take the quiz and you finish it; you get 25 gems.

3) How to draw animals:

I absolutely love this one. This one I actually didn't know about until I went searching for this post. I am definitely going to be using this one though. In the books, I mentioned earlier, they have a page where they show you step-by-step on how to draw that animal. It's super cool!

Here is my quick drawing of the fox. Yeah, I know. I could do better, but like I said it was a quick drawing.

Art Studio.

You can also do some free style digital art if you would like at the art studio. This is my personal favorite.

You guys probably know how to use this feature, as it's quite popular. So, I'm not going to go on and on about this one.

_____________________________________________________________

I hope you all enjoyed this post! I know I did. I especially loved learning a few new animal facts. As well as, drawing the fox. It was a quick drawing, but I enjoyed it. I'll see you all next week (hopefully, as long as nothing else comes up). BYEEEEEEEEEEE

If I Could Live In Bible Times... (Noah)

Hello, everyone!

"Hello Houze!"

I'm soooooo glad you're here!

"Well, we're glad to see you!"

Aw, you really mean it?

"No,we just said that."

Oh.

"Joking!"

That's not funny.
__________________________________________________________________
Happy Wednesday everyone.  I'm really happy you're joining me today. We're going to be going on an adventure. I'm going to be to imagining I lived in Bible times. I am going to be putting myself in the shoes of Noah and his family today.

The story of Noah begins in Genesis 5:32 and goes through to the end of chapter 10. If you would like to go read the entire story you can here.

*Please note, this is partially made up, with elements of the actual Bible mixed in.*

My take on the story:

"Noah dear, it seems like a nice evening to go for a walk," said his wife.

"I think I would have to agree, let's go."

Noah, his wife, and three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth walked down the street. Noah, was soaking up the town and the people that walked by. There were many people. Some even included giants.

"Look at all those big people," Japheth announced.

"Yeah, It's a shame to see all the wickedness around." Noah proclaimed.

"Yeah," Shem agreed.

They continued walking. Noah couldn't believe the things he saw. The people in the town didn't seem to ever think about God. He thought about the stories he's been told about his ancestors, who didn't go back very far in time. They started to head back to the house, for it was starting to get dark.

That night, Noah was sleeping. When suddenly, he believed he heard someone talking to him.

"Noah you have found grace in my sight. The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch. And this is the fashion which thou shalt make it of: The length of the ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits.
A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.
And of every living thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive. And take thou unto thee of all food that is eaten, and thou shalt gather it to thee; and it shall be for food for thee, and for them." (Directly quoted Genesis 6:13-21)

"Okay, Lord. I'll do that."

Noah began his quest. He needed to build an ark so that his family would be safe. Once Noah had built the ark he was commanded to build. He was commanded, by the Lord gather up some animals.

"Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.
Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.
For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth."
(Directly quoted Genesis 7:2-4)

After all the animals were in. God shut Noah and his family, along with the animals into the ark.The waters began to come down from the heaven.

"Look at that rain coming down," Noah's wife sounded a bit scared.

"It's okay, dear. We're all going to be safe in here. God promised to protect us."

People started screaming and pounding on the ark's door to get in, but it was already too late. They were watching the waters come down, drowning the people and animals in it's path.

Some time went by, when Japheth finally got tied of staying in the ark.

"Dad, are we ever going to get out of here? We've been stuck here with all of these animals FOREVER."

"Yes, son, be patient. God has this."

"Dad, Japheth has a point, It's been over a year," Ham backed up his brother.

"God has this. He knows what he's doing."

While Noah and his sons talked a dove came back in through the window of the ark, carrying olive leaf.

"Why, would you look at that. The waters have lessened. 7 more days boys, I'll send another dove out.

The day came quickly. This time Noah released the dove and it didn't come back. Noah looked out the window and saw that the earth was dry. Then he heard God speaking to him saying,
"Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee.
Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth." (Directly quoted Genesis 8:16-17)

"Boys, it's clear that God did a miracle for us. Let's show God that we are thankful by building an alter and sacrificing to Him."

God was pleased with them. He promised to not curse the ground any more for man's sake, neither would He smite any more every thing living.

"Noah, I'm going to set up a convent with you. Look in the sky."

"Woah, Lord what a colorful sight."

"It's a rainbow."

I hope you all enjoyed this little narrative of what I imagine happened during Noah's days. I am thinking about making this into a series. So let me know if you would enjoy that. I'm sorry it's long (if I do this series they probably will be longer posts), but I could honestly keep going with it. I had to shorten it as it was. :P Thank you all for reading, byeee! See you all next week!

2020 POSTING GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*Lays on couch watching YouTube*

"Hey, Houze it's been forever since we've seen you. What are you doing?"

Feeling sorry for myself!

"Why...would you do that?"

Umm, I've been *cough* sick *cough* for the last 2 weeks!

"Ohhh."

"Well are you doing better?"

Nope, sill sick. *cough*

Have you tried medicine?

Yes, I have and I'm TIRED of taking medicine every 4 hours that's not working!

"Oh well, then..."

*Cough*

"Are you going to be posting today?"

Yeah, just um a short post.

"Okay, get on with it then."

Wait, just one more video.

*5 hours later*

Okay, I'm ready to do my post!

________________________________________________________________

Thanks for reading my pathetic intro. That's my been life that last two weeks! Coughing and running noses, ear aches, no energy, watching too much YouTube because I have no energy to do anything else but that. Yeah, it's been crazy.

I figured I would try to put my best foot forward this year and set up some goals for myself this year. (I am off to a REALLY bad start).

1) Do more Christian posts.

Last year, I really lacked on the Christian posts. The Christian posts are definitely my favorite posts to do. However, last year I really lacked motivation to do them. I felt like I said the same thing over and over again. They were just a mess, at least in my opinion. So hopefully, I can do more Christian posts this year, that are actually good.

2) Stop being so hard on myself.

I had multiple ideas for posts last year, but I scraped them because I didn't think they were good enough, or I couldn't pull them together. I tend to overthink things and push myself too hard that the process becomes a job, instead of being fun. Which, I never want posting to become a job. I want it something that I love doing! So I need to work on that.

3) Actually post!

Last year, I missed a lot of weeks. I want to post at least 45 posts this year. That means I can only miss 7 weeks, now 6 since I missed last week's post... We're off to a great start!!!!! NOT

4) Create a new, interesting signature for my posts.

I've had the same signature since I started, back in 2018...(I made that sound like so long ago...) Anyway, I need to make a new one. Like come on! It's 2020!

5) Make better intros.

This one probably comes down to me being too hard on myself again, but ya know... I REALLY don't like my intros. I know I said that last year, but things NEED to change this year. I mean seriously they are pathetic! Moving on...

6) Start a new series of posts.

I would like to start a series of posts. I enjoy doing series, so I would like to do that. I'm not exactly sure what it will be on yet, but we'll see in the future I guess.

At the end of 2020 we'll revisit these and see how I did. Hopefully, I can pull some of these off. I really want to become a better blogger this year. I want to make QUALITY content for you guys.

_________________________________________________________________

Looks like that's the end of this post.  I hope you all will stick around for another year of posting. :) That was lame, I know. I'm sorry. I really am. Anyway...Hope you all enjoyed and I'll see you all next week (hopefully, not sick). BYEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Day In the Life of a Puppy!

Hey y'all! Welcome back to anotherrrrr blog post with Housemom418 today. LOL As y'all know, (If you read last week's post) we got a puppy named Missy Mae. She has been a handful for sure! Who knew that my life revolves around a puppy? Even I didn't know that! LOL Right now she is 10 weeks and 3 days old! So, she is a very young pup.

However, life isn't just unicorns and rainbows as some people might expect from a puppy. It's way more than that! But, sometimes you might wonder what their language is, and what they think.

Today, I am going to be doing something that I think will be super fun! I am going to be making a skit about what Missy Mae thinks about every day, or what we might think that she thinks about! Let's get into it!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alarm: 7:00 AM
"Ring! Ring! Ding! Ding!"

Owner: (Gets up)

Missy Mae: "Oh! It's time to bite everybody face's off, yay!"

Owner: (Let's out of cage)

Missy Mae: "I'M FREE!"

Owner: "Come on, Missy! Let's go outside!"

Missy Mae: (Runs) "TIME TO GO GET SHOES!"

Missy Mae: (Grabs a shoe and takes off with it)

Owner: "Missy, no! Bad girl!"

Missy Mae: "Ugh, again? I don't understand my parents, AT ALL! I just want to chew this all up! Ugh..." Ruff...

Owner: "Come on, let's go outside!"
(Opens door)

Missy Mae: (Runs outside and bites leash)

Owner: "Missy, bad girl! Let's not bite that leash! That's not a toy, Missy!"

Missy Mae: "UGH! THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND ME!!!" Grrrrrr...

Owner: "Missy..."

Missy Mae: (Runs around in the grass)

Owner: "Let's go inside."
(Opens door)

Missy Mae: "You ruined my play time." (whines)

Owner: (Gives food)

Missy Mae: (Eats some of the food and then gets distracted by seeing toes)
"Ooooh, toes..." (Runs and bites)

Owner: "Missy, no! That really hurts! Grab your toy!" (Throws toy)

Missy Mae: (Plays with toy for 2 seconds and then goes back to biting) "Mwahaha..." Ruff!

Owner: "Into your play pen!" (Carries and puts in play pen)

Missy Mae: "AGAIN?! I DID NOTHING, I SWEAR."

Missy Mae: (Squeaks toy and whines)

Owner: "Oh Missy..."

Missy Mae: "Why do they talk about me like that? I'm so cute, look at me!" (Jumps)

Owner: "Let's not jump, okay Missy?"

Missy Mae: "Why?! I love jumping."

Owner: "Missy..." (Goes to room)

Missy Mae: "Ugh, now nobody's playing with me or paying attention to me..."

Owner: (Comes back out and gives more food)

Missy Mae: "Oooh, more food." (Eats and begins to behave)

Owner: (Picks up)

Missy Mae: "TOYS! TOYS! TIME TO BITE HANDS!"
(bites)

Owner: "Nooo, Missy..."

Missy Mae: "I really wish that they allowed me to play with my toys..." (also known as hands)

Owner: "Time to go to bed, Missy."

Missy Mae: "Never fails..."

Owner: (Puts to bed)

Missy Mae: (Falls to sleep)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess that's it for today! I hope y'all enjoyed that. She's very stubborn to say the least, LOL! Here's today's bible verse!
Jonah 1:14 (KJV)
Wherefore they cried unto the Lord, and said, We beseech thee, O Lord, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O Lord, hast done as it pleased thee.
