Christmas Nails! 🎄💅

  Christmas Nail Ideas!

HEY Y'ALL! Welcome back to Blogmas Day 6!! I am so excited to be doing a Christmas Nails post for the holiday!!

1. Red French Tip Manicure

I would say most of us know what french tips are, which basically is just when you paint your tips of your nail white. To change this up, you can do red instead! If you want to be even more extra, you can add a little bit of glitter on top of that. Seal with a topcoat, and it'll be beautiful and festive!!

2. Red & White Swirls

Lately, it has been pretty popular to draw little swirly lines on to your nail. It looks beautiful against your natural nail color. Instead of doing just white, you can use both red and white. Another option as well, would be a beautiful emerald green color!

3. Basic Red

Red is such a beautiful color, and I think it all reminds us of the holiday season! It looks perfect against any skin tone, and there's lots of colors that can go with it.

4. Christmas Trees

For people who like to go a little bit more complex, these nail designs are just for you. You can do a light green nail color or even white, and then draw a cute little Christmas tree! To make it even more special, you can put some ornaments on it! Fake, of course. 🤣 I wouldn't recommend attaching ornaments onto your nail... I'm not sure if you could even do that, you'd have to use a nail drill- anyway, moving on. 🤣

5. Candy Canes

This is super easy, and looks beautiful! All you have to do is use white as your base color, let it dry, and then add red diagonal stripes! It makes it look like candy canes, and they are perfect for the holiday. I actually did these for Christmas last year, and they were really pretty!

6.Christmas Lights

Christmas lights always make the holiday even brighter. Ha! Anyway... You can do any base color that you would like, (except black, that probably would be hard to do unless you used white as the color for the lights) and then draw little strands of lights! In order to make the lights, you can use some festive colors and do some little dots!

7. Snowmen!

It is literally so much fun to do little snowmen! As long as you have a dotting tool, all you have to do is just take some white nail polish and draw 3 round circles. Then, use some black nail polish for the buttons made out of coal, and some more for the eyes. You can even add some orange in there for the nose if you would like, and if you want to be even more extra, feel free to add a little hat to top it all off!

8. Midnight Blue with Gold/Foil

I think we all can agree that the sky at night looks absolutely beautiful when the stars are clearly visible. So, who wouldn't want to create something similar on your nails? Take a deep blue, and instead of doing stars, add some gold sparkles or some gold foil onto your nails! It will look beautiful, with the gold against the blue.

9. Classic Blue

The previous one lead me to this one... blue is such a beautiful color all year round, and it is a perfect color to use for this holiday!

10. Sweater Nails

Now, to some of you, this idea may seem a bit confusing. However, it is absolutely beautiful! All you have to do is have a shiny plain color (preferably gel). (I wouldn't do any with sparkle, being that we're going to turn this matte) Apply that color onto your nails, and wait until it is dry. Then, apply a matte topcoat. You could also use a buffing file, (make sure it is used for buffing

, you do not want to use a file that is too rough for this) and buff the whole nail. It is better to use a matte topcoat though, because sometimes it is hard to get into certain areas of the nail, like around your cuticle. Now, when that is dry, take that same exact nail color that is shiny. Do little squiggly lines, like you would see on a cable sweater. The reason why it is better to do gel, is because gel is thicker. Unless you would like to keep the design part shiny, it would be better to have something that is thicker that will stand out on your nail. Then, (if using gel) add more matte topcoat and it will look like a cable sweater!

Well, that is it for Blogmas Day 6! I hope y'all enjoyed, and make sure to come back tomorrow for another post! Bye y'all!!

Christmas Tree Decorating (Blogmas Day 5)

Hello, everyone I'm back for another Blogmas 2021 post! How are all of you doing this fine Sunday!?

I've been busy decorating. This year I've decorated 3 trees - the main living room tree, my tree, and I surprised my neighbor with a tree this year, of which we decorated. Now, of course we decorated these as a family, but I thought you guys may enjoy seeing the process of how we decorated this year.

I personally love watching people decorate their house for different seasons - you can watch them on YouTube.

So without further ado, let's start off with the main tree. This one is about 7 1/2 foot tree, and my mom did most of the decorating, but we did somewhat help. Oh and the lights don't really go out like that; it's just how the camera picked up the lights. I know...weird, right?

Then we have my tree that goes in my room. This one is only 18 inches, since I don't have much space for a bigger one. However, I am proud of my little tree!

As for my neighbor's tree we only took pictures, so here is a picture instead of a video. :P This one is a six foot tree.

I honestly love decorating the trees, although, it takes a long time sometimes, and I'm not very experienced, so I often get criticized for my decorating skills, but hey, we all must learn somehow, right? I love the way they turned out and super happy about them.

When do you guys usually put up your tree, if you decorate one? What colors do you usually use and how big? Let me know in the comments below! I would love to hear from you, and until next time, Jam on!

Housemom322 Is Back + Favorite Christmas Songs (Blogmas Day 3)

eheheh HEY GUYS! Remember me? Yeah, it's been a while... I know...I'm sorry.

If you don't remember me,  let me introduce myself, I'm Housemom322. I wrote for this blog weekly a while back ago since then, I've got a pretty much full time job, graduated high school, and trying to figure out what is next in my life. So, yeah, a lot has changed, but I my passion for writing has not and I this upcoming year I want to write more, maybe not exactly weekly, since my job consumes a lot of my time. However, I do want to get back into writing. Although, I'm not sure how much about Animal Jam will I write about. Anyway, enough rambling. Let's get into today's post -------->

So, as many of may know, my sister, Housemom418 started Blogmas! Originally, it was going to be her doing all 24 posts, but when she told me the about the idea. I was actually really impressed with the ideas she had and asked her if I could also participate. We decided we would switch off days, making it easier on both of us.

So today's topic is Favorite Christmas Songs. So I guess this means we should get into it. Now, these are in no particular order due to the fact, I'm not really much of a Christmas music person. Don't get me wrong I enjoy it, but I can only take so much of it, and when I've had enough...I've had enough. I don't mean to be that way, but it's true.

1) Mary Did You Know

Now, I think I mainly like this song because it really puts into the perspective of what really made Mary "different" I mean just think of it - Mary gave birth to the Creator of the universe - God manifest in the flesh. Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, was born from this young woman. It's crazy to me think about.

2) Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

This is a classic show that I've watched year after year and every time I hear the song all I can see is Rudolph in my mind. It's simply a classic.

3) Silver Bells

I'm not really sure why I like this one. I think maybe it reminds me of the people who would stand outside stores raising money for the Salvation Army. My 5th grade teacher actually helped out doing that and I saw her, so maybe that's why I like it, not sure.

4) Frosty The Snowman

Again, another classic Christmas/winter film. I mean, who can't help but fall in love with a snowman who sings?

5) All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey

I honestly don't what to say about this one. You hear it everywhere you go, it's a common one, but for a good reason. She has a great voice and good message too. The season should be spent focusing on the blessings of family and friends not the materialism that it's become. Although, it's fun to give and receive gifts. It shouldn't be the main focus of this time of year.

As I write this it is 11:48 P.M. and I want to publish this before 12, so I think I'm going to do just a top 5. My post should hopefully be longer on Sunday, so hope you guys enjoyed today's post. Let me know in the comments your top 5 Christmas Songs. :P I'll see you all soon and it's good to be writing again. I really did miss it; just didn't realize it until I sat down to do it.

Now, I know this is where I usually put a signature, but unfortuantly I don't know where the file to my old signature is and I don't really have enough time to search through my computer files to find one, nor do I time to create a new one, so I guess this post won't have one, but I will make a new one. The previous one was getting old anyway. XD

blogmas?!? + how to get into the Christmas spirit!

HEY Y'ALL! this is probably going to come as a shocker to most of you... but I have decided to do blogmas this year! blogmas is simply just blogging every single day leading up until Christmas! obviously, I didn't post yesterday because I just decided to do this today... I have had finals all this week which has been going pretty well! we all know the stress of finals... that's for sure! being that we don't post much anymore, (which I know most of you probably wonder why) is just because we have gotten so busy! we all have gotten older now, and we have a lot more important priorities in mind... however, there has been so many of you that have been faithful viewers for such a long time and I'd like to push out some content for y'all during this holiday seaaason!! <33

I hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving!! I know that some of y'all live in Canada so obviously Thanksgiving is on a different date for y'all than it is here! we had a great Thanksgiving at our house, we had a big yummy meal! it is so important to thank God for all of the things that He has gave us, not only on Thanksgiving, but every single day!

with this blog, a lot of the time we normally just post random things, which I personally love a variety of things to view, and I hope y'all are the same way too! (heyyyy, that rhymed!) so during this, honestly it will probably be random content scattered throughout the whole thing!

I don't know about you, but it feels like Christmas has come soooo fast... and some of us may have a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit, even though it's already December! so today, I am going to share with y'all how to get into the Christmas spirit!!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

the majority of people, it seems, that they decorate either the day after Thanksgiving or the first day of December... while others, they decorate before Thanksgiving (I sure did!) or they wait until a little bit later in the month of December. Or! they don't decorate at all... (who wouldn't decorate for Christmas?! that's a requirement in my book! 😉)

so, that leads to my point... one of the most major steps in getting into the Christmas spirit, is to decorate your house/room for the holiday!! when getting into the spirit of any holiday, you always have to make sure the things around you are decorated properly for it!

 decorate for christmas

I decorated this year on November the 14th, which I know there is a lot of controversy as whether you should decorate before or after Thanksgiving, and the majority of people say after... but do whatever makes you happy!! I was recovering over a sickness at the time, and I needed to do something that made me happy... so despite it being early, I decorated anyway! here's my Christmas tree!

it's about 4 1/2 ft, and it's soooo cute in my room when it's night time!

listen to christmas music

I don't know about y'all, but listening to Christmas music is always a thing that I have to do in order to get excited for Christmas! listening to Christmas music in the summer just doesn't feel right to me, so every november/december it is time to start blaring the amazing Christmas music!

here's a major tip...

don't decorate your tree without listening to christmas music.

I made a major mistake this year and decorated my whole room for Christmas, without even listening to Christmas music!! therefore, I wasn't nearly as excited about decorating as I should have been!

obviously read the christmas story!!!

this is what Christmas is all about, y'all! reading the Christmas story is always a great reminder of what a blessing it was for God to come down and be born as a child, and the whole plan the entire time was at the age of 33 for Him to die on a cross for you and I! so, that is a major deal... make sure to read the story!

start making/buying christmas gifts for friends & family

so, I know that probably quite a bit of the viewers reading this blog can't buy many gifts... however, for all of you people out there, you can always make something for them or just make sure that they know that you love them! and for the rest of us who can buy gifts, it doesn't matter how much the gift costs, just make it special and it will probably make you so excited to give them the gift!

alright y'all! that about wraps up for the post of blogmas! I hope y'all enjoyed it, and I think getting into the Christmas spirit is the best way to start it! thank y'all so much for reading all of our posts, I know that it encourages me a lot to see that there are still some of you who enjoy reading them! happy first- (actually second) day of december!
