My Shop!

Hi, guys! Hows your week going?!

Today Animal Jam updated, and they have a super awesome new feature! It's called "My Shop". It's a little store you can put in your den, and actually sell your items and pets to other jammers for gems and diamonds. I absolutely love this feature, and think it's an incredible addition to the game! So today I decided to post about that. :)

The "My Shop" is being sold in the Diamond Shop for 5 diamonds. Seems like quite a bit, but the rarity of diamonds has decreased quite a bit for a few years. Now since members get 3-6 diamonds almost every day (depending on how often they get on, and if they don't get gifts instead), diamonds are super easy to get. I've saved a bunch of diamonds, so I was very happy I was able to afford a lot of items from peoples shops!

For some reason, you can't trade shops, even if you don't have anything actually for sale in the shop. Someone was asking me to buy one for them, but it wouldn't let me trade, or gift it to them. This is what Animal Jam HQ says about the new "My Shop", and what items you can't sell through this.

Here's what the shop looks like in a den! It's super cute. I love how the little marquee sign flashes!

This is what it looks like instead a shop, if you own one, and have items in it. I just put a bunch of random items in mine. XD I'll probably add more stuff later. You can stop by my den if you want to buy any of these!

If you hover over the item you have in your shop, a little pencil pops up, and if you click on it, you can change the price you set the item at. (If only you could do that in other peoples shops...)

To add an item to the "My Shop", you just click on the plus sign, and choose which item you want to sell.

You can set the price as low as 1 diamond, to as high as 500 diamonds. For gems, you can go as low as 50 gems, and as high as 15,000 gems. 

Here's what someone else's shop looks like! I would suggest being careful when trying to find a shop with good prices. Some shops have absolutely outrageous prices, and some have dirt cheap items. Remember that there's probably someone else out there that have a cheaper price on their items. It just takes some looking for.

I am kinda disappointed that non-members can't have a shop, and can't buy from a shop, even if the item they're trying to buy is for non-members. But it is really cool that non-members can get a month of membership for free from getting sapphires on Play Wild! Click here to read Housemom418's post to see how.

Good afternoon my friends! Today, we're going to be doing a den challenge, but wait, NOT just ANY den challenge. This den challenge is a Valentine's Day den challenge. Please feel free to do this challenge as well, and if you do, please let me know I would LOVE to see your creations!

So how this will work is. I made one den that took 20 minutes, 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and lastly a den in 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Each den had a specific room, or theme, but it had to incorporate a Valentine's Day theme. Make sense?

But, but...

Anyways, let's get right into the 20 minute den. :-)

 

This was the only den that I had enough time to work on the outside as well. XDD I really like how I did the heart as the rug. This is a den, so you have your room and kitchen, like a house. XD

 Also, you'll notice my black skunk tail...yeah my friend decided they were going to twin with me, but didn't have a pink skunk tail, so I switched to a black one. XD

 

 This is my 10 minute den, or what I like to call my Valentines Day Party Den. Here we have plenty of seating for your guests!

 Our 5 minute den, is a bedroom. :-) Unfortunately, I ran out of time to move the bookshelf against the wall, beside the heart lamps. I also wanted to add a book to the desk...but again I ran out of time.

Lastly, my 2 minute and 30 second den. Yeah this den is quite boring! It was supposed to be a kitchen, but this was the best I could do with the time I had. XDDD

(I've said "XD" soooo many times in this post. I was really happy about this post I guess).

Rare Item Monday!

Hey, Jammers! It’s CoolCat here with another post! I’m sorry this post is late, I almost forgot about it! Because I am doing this late, I’m just going to get right to it.

Today’s Rare Item Monday for Animal Jam is the Rare Heart Hat!

Thoughts: I really love this weeks Rare Item Monday! I like that the hat is purple instead of red, I just think it’s a nice change!

Overall I rate Animal Jams RIM a 10! Now let’s move onto Play Wilds RIM.

Today’s Rare Item Monday for Play Wild is the Rare Heart Earmuffs!

Thoughts: I really love this weeks RIM for Play wild as well! I think the red and black contrast with the Purple Heart hat nicely. Even though they are different games, you don’t want similar items!

Valentine's Day Fashion & Valentine's Day Den Tips!

Helloooooo! Valentine's Day is right around the corner! Do you have any plans for the special day? We normally don't do very much on Valentine's Day. But we do have a tradition of having pasta and meat sauce, since it's one of the few red colored meals. XD

Today's post is all about Valentine's Day! This post is going to be about Valentine's Day fashion, and tips on how to decorate your den for the holiday. I know a lot of bloggers normally have parties during holidays like these, or jammers normally decorate there dens for these holidays, so I thought it would be fun to show you guys some tips on how to decorate your den for Valentine's Day! These tips are for making a cozy Valentine's Day den. Most of the items are for all jammers, but some aren't. You can change the items out for non-member ones though!

First, I like to start with 2-3 different colors I'll base my whole den around. For this, I'll be using red and white. I like adding either streamers, or roses to the top of whatever den I'm decorating. This makes it look like you spent a lot of time on it, and overall, makes it look inviting and cozy!

Next I lay out some of the items I'm planning on using in the middle of my den, to get an idea of where I want to put them. Remember not to bunch them all together, or put too many together, because then you won't be able to see much of the den, to put them where you want them to go.

Ignore the blue roses, I was planning on using blue, then I realized I don't have any blue heart items. XD

Try not to fill the walls too much with bulky items. It makes it look too crowded, and less inviting.

Putting items inside, or outside of your den that you would find in a real home makes it look super cute! For this den I put a heart target game.

If you're using the 2-3 color method to base your items around like I talked about, use a flooring that blends well with the colors you chose. Dark colors go great with red, and lighter colors go good with whites, light blues, and other lighter colors. Try to choose a color that won't clash with your items too much.

How to get membership on Animal Jam by playing Animal Jam Play Wild!

Hey guys! Welcome back to another blog post! So, you guys probably saw the title and was like, "WAIT WHAT?" Or if I told you guys on Animal Jam already, you were basically the same way. So, this is how you do it!!!

Okay, so firstly, when you log on, just go to the diamond shop/sapphire shop. Then, there should be a shield that looks like this.

Click on that, and then you get this.

Then, it will show this. As you can see, I only have 141 so far. If you don't have 500+ then when you click on it this will come up...

So this is how it looks when you click it. As you can see, I have 359 more to go! Exciting, I know, you guys probably think I'm crazy but i'm trying to get like 50-100 each day so yeah! I should be done in like a week or two.

Anyway, this pops up when you click on Buy Sapphires.

In order to get enough sapphires, you can play games to get sapphires. The first prize is 5 sapphires, then 10, and then 15. Here are some more.

Okay, so is this phantom portal that leads you to phantoms, and you need paintseeds in order to defeat the phantoms.

(The 2nd paintseed tree is how it looks when it is fully grown with paintseeds)
