11/27/19 Update Post!

Hello y'all! Welcome back to another bloooooog post with Housemom418! Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in the U.S.A, and I hope that everybody who celebrates it had a good one! I know I did. :) On Wednesday, Animal Jam updated to be the Jamaaliday's. I decided that I would post about the update! So, why not get into the first page, am I right? Let's get started!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So starting off with the first page, the Jamaaliday deer are back! I love these deer so much, because they hold a bunch of memories. One of which, is actually how I met Gizmo! I wish I could show you the pictures that some of us took as a group, as these animals, but I can't seem to find it on my computer. These deer are members only, sadly. However, these deer are only 1,000 gems, so go and buy them today!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These pet camels are adorable!!! They are in the diamond shop, for 3 diamonds. Personally, I think these pets look way better than the camel in Animal Jam that you can play as. LOL That might just be my opinion though. This is a member's only pet.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Woohoo! This den is awesome. I'm so glad that this den has returned! Now we can build gingerbread houses! This den is still members only, and it is in the diamond shop for 5 diamonds! I'm starting to feel the Jamaaliday spirit!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Jamaaliday Jam part is back! This is always a fun party to be in with your friends. Am I the only one who just stays at a party in Animal Jam until everybody leaves, and then invite friends? Just me? Okay. LOL
We can't forget, the pet reindeer are waiting to be adopted! So rush to the party, and get your pet reindeer today!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This for sure has to be one of my favorite seasonal adventures! There is just something about it, that makes it feel so festive! All of the decorations, and the joy and help that we share while trying to get all of the gifts in this maze, just brings happiness! Jesus is the reason for the season. :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The first part of this page is saying that 3 or more items will come unto shops each day! I am so excited to be able to decorate my Jamaaliday den with a bunch of the items that come out every year, or maybe some new items! So, make sure to look out for those items so you don't miss them! And the Jamaaliday Alpha Armor has come back to stores! This is found in the Alpha Headquarters, but it costs 108 diamonds in total if you want to buy every set. Best get saving!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The fall Eggstravaganza pets are going to leave soon, so if you didn't get the chance to buy the eggs already, make sure to buy them ASAP! I wonder what new pets will be in the eggs for the Jamaaliday's!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Gingerbread Armor is here!!! This armor is very festive, and very fun for the season. The Jamaaliday Gift Shop is here in the diamond shop as well! It has a bunch of Jamaaliday items in it, for only 1 diamond each!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Black Friday is here in Animal Jam, so this is the best time of year to get Animal Jam membership! You get extra diamonds, even though you are paying just as much as you would before. Plus, the Jamaalidays are here, which is always the best time of year in my opinion!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess that it's for today y'all!
Thank you for reading. :)
Here's today's meme!
And here's today's bible verse!
Hebrews 1:3-4 (KJV)
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

Hello, everybody! I'm back with another post. Today, I am sooooo excited. I can't wait for tomorrow!!! Tomorrow people across America will be gathering around the table with their families. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, parents, and brothers and sisters will gather to have a meal together. It's an exciting time of year, where some of the families favorite foods are brought to the table. We love and are thankful for the time we get with them.

It's a special time for me to sit down and reflect on the year. It reminds to be thankful for all of the things that happened throughout the year - good or bad.

A lot of things have changed in my life since last November, both good and bad. Either way, it's a great time for me to celebrate being able to live another year. With that being said, I am going to be telling you a little bit of history as far as the first Thanksgiving goes, then I'll tell you what it means to me personally.

In 1620, people from England came to America on the Mayflower, this ship carried roughly 100 people. The people landed in Massachusetts. According to, an eyewitness Edward Winslow, who was part of this first Thanksgiving in 1621. The first Thanksgiving was actually celebrated sometime between September and mid-November, and it wasn't called "Thanksgiving." Instead, it was a feast celebration, that lasted 3 days. It was a celebration of having a good harvest, as well as being able to survive the harsh winters in the new world and diseases that killed about half of their group.

It was important to the new settlers as well as the Natives to give thanks to God.  There menu probably didn't have the traditional foods that we have today, like potatoes, turkey, pumpkin pie, and whatever else you may have. Instead, it's believed they had venison, or deer as their meat along with many vegetables and fruits. By the late 1600s it became tradition in New England to celebrate, giving thanks to God for a good harvest.

(All information plus more can be found here: First Thanksgiving History.)

Now, that I've given you a brief history of the first Thanksgiving. I'm going to dive into what the day means to me.

1) It's a time for me reflect on what has taken place over the last year.

It's important to me to take some time to just sit down with my thoughts and in a way, step out of this world and think about the past year. Now, I also do this at the beginning of the year, but this is where it begins. I think about all of the things that have happened and begin to remember to be thankful for them. It's important to be thankful all of the time, but it's good to have a reminder to be thankful, since life can get a head of us sometimes. In Psalms 26:6-7 says:

6) I will wash mine hands in innocency: so will I compass thine altar, O LORD:
7) That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

2) It's a time to spend with family and friends and creating memories.

I love being able to spend time with my family and friends. I haven't spent Thanksgiving with my family (extended family) for over 5 years, since moving to another state far a way from them. However, we have spent Thanksgiving with a few friends from church over these last 5 years. I have so many memories on Thanksgiving. Let me tell you, I have some stories, but I won't bore you with them. It gives you a deeper appreciation for the people in your life. I don't know where I would be without the people in my life.

3) THE FOOD, DUH!

Let's just say, I'm a food fanatic. I love food. I love the smell of the rolls baking. I love the pumpkin pie with whipped cream piled high. It's all good! The turkey - MMMMMM! Yeah, thank you Mr. Turkey for your sacrifice. I may eat too much (and I do), but personally I think it's worth everything.  It's just SOOOOOOOOO good!

I'm just in love. I can say that Thanksgiving is my second favorite holiday after Christmas.

***Bonus*** The fact that we get to decorate for Christmas the next day and on Saturday (usually). Some years we do it a little bit earlier or later, depending on what we decide to do. I actually already decorated my room for Christmas. Last week I helped my mom decorate the living room, and on Saturday we're hoping to put up the Christmas tree. It's very tiring to decorate, but I love the results.

It looks like that's all for this post. Thank you all for reading. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving 2019!! Let me know in the comments what's your favorite part of Thanksgiving is, along with 1 thing you're thankful for. I'm thankful for the family I have and that they showed me how to come to know Jesus Christ. I'll see you all next week!! BYEEEE GUYSSSS!!

By the way, I'm not really sure why this post is in two different colors, (gray and black), when I typed it. It was in black, but for whatever reason it shows up two different colors and I can't fix it for whatever reason, so I'm sorry!

Today's Encouraging Quote:

I'm blessed with everything I need. I'm working hard towards everything I want. And most of all I appreciate & thank God for what I have. - Unknown.

Today's Bible Verse:

But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. - 1 Corinthians 15:57 (KJV)

I'm Back! + Pumpkin Pie!

------------------------------------------------------
Y'ALL!!! I'VE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!! I'm so sorry I left without telling any of y'all, except I did tell Gracie. LOL I'm so glad to be back! Y'all mean so much to me, and I am so thankful for y'all! I took a little break for 2 weeks to get me back into the routine of posting, and because I didn't have any ideas. *cough* Let's get this blog back on It's feet! Err- well- blog's don't have feet- um...
*crosses that off the list*
ANYWAY...
I've realized that It's 6 more days until Thanksgiving. I've felt like this year has gone by so fast! I just can't believe it! It feels like It was just Thanksgiving... but now we are saying hello to Thanksgiving 2019! What is your guys' favorite Holiday? Let me know in the comments below! Mine probably has to be... Christmas! I love Christmas, because It's a time to celebrate the Lord's birth! :-) I really love Thanksgiving though, because I've found myself not being thankful for what I have. Thanksgiving is a day all around the country, to celebrate and thank God for what He has given us!

Today, I am going to be playfully making a pumpkin pie in Animal Jam. However, this is an actual recipe! (It's not mine though, so don't take it as mine. Just a recipe I found on Google... LOL) I don't know how good the recipe is, but... *coughs* GIVE IT A TRY! XDDD
Let's get into it!
------------------------------------------------------
"Hey Y'all! Welcome back to the cooking show with Housemom418! Today, I am going to be making a pumpkin pie! Let's be honest, It's a tradition in most house's to eat Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving. Since Thanksgiving is in 6 days, all of y'all (or if you are southerner, you already are cooking and baking for Thanksgiving) are going to be making your famous recipe that your family goes by! Or, if you are a youngin' you are making your mom's, or grandma's, or great grandma's, or great great grandma's, or great great great grandma's, (the list can go on forever) recipe! Let's get into it."
-----------------------------------------------
"Now, some people like to be fancy and make their own pie crust. So if you want to make your own pie crust, you may. However, if you don't... then just go to the store and pick up pie crust! This does not need to be pre-baked. Since I don't have crust, let's go to the store and get some!"
"Time to go home!"
"Alright, now that we have the crust, we need to do the filling.
You can use your own homemade Pumpkin Puree, or you can go to the store and get some Pumpkin Puree. Today, we will be using our own homemade Pumpkin Puree. First, grab a pumpkin. If you don't have a pumpkin... go to the store and get a pumpkin. Or... I'd rather you go to a pumpkin patch.
Next, wash it and cut it in half. (the poor pumpkin!)
Make sure to remove all pith and seeds, and then cut it into cubes. Once you do that, bake until tender. There you have it, Pumpkin Puree!
Make sure all of the ingredients are at room temperature before you begin, though."
---------------------------------------
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon
  • 2 eggs
  • 15 oz pumpkin puree
  • 10 oz evaporated milk
------------------------------
(Grabs the eggs) Alright! Let's go back inside!
(once inside)
Now, just throw all of the ingredients in a bowl at those measurements that was listed above.
(throws them into a bowl)
Okay! Now that we did that, mix!
Line a 9″ pie plate with a pie crust and add a sprinkle of flour and sugar, and then pour into prepared crust.
Now, put it in the oven for 45 minutes!
Yay! Now we are done with our pumpkin pie!
It's a perfect gift to give to your friends for thanksgiving! Go and give the pies to your friends, and be thankful for your friends! :)
---------------------------------------------------
Well, I guess that's It for today, y'all! Thank you so much for reading, all of your guys' views really encourage me to keep on going! I love posting, but I want to make sure that y'all like what I'm posting as well. Here's today's meme!
(All credit goes to the owners)
Oh my gosh... XDDDD
I feel so bad for this meme! The poor little turkey. :(
We all have to love turkey's... LOL
------------------
Most importantly, here is today's bible verse!
Romans 12:1 (KJV)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.

Celebrating the Release of Frozen 2

Hello everybody! It's been a while, so it seems! It's been two weeks! I can't believe it. Last week I got really sick and the week before I was really busy and didn't have time to post. However, I am back at it, and boy am I excited!

I am really excited for Frozen 2 to come out! So I thought since it's coming out on Friday. I would do some looks inspired by the characters outfits. We shall get right into it!

It appears that there are 5 main characters in this movie, which are the 5 main characters from the first movie, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf, and Sven. So, that's who we're going to be dressing up like today! Who is excited?

I am!!!!!

Elsa:

Looks like her right? I would have to say so.

Anna:

Awww, I love this outfit! I've always loved Anna's look. It's gorgeous. The purple doesn't really line with her movie look, but it's the best I got. I do love the how the hair is like a split image of her real hair though! I think it's a success!

Kristoff:

Now, Kristoff's look was a little harder to complete. I couldn't find the right hair for him. This was honestly the best I had. His outfit is a little off too, but I still think someone could guess who it was...with maybe a little help. XDDD

Olaf:

Then here is the beloved Olaf. I love Olaf as a character. His personally is amazing. However, this really a bad representation of him! I know, I'm sorry!

Sven:

I'm not really sure what to say about him...I couldn't find anything that resembled his reins. So, I used a pirate sword. I guess Sven and Kristoff are now ready for battle?! I'm not really sure! I could use Christmas lights and it would a little something like this...

No, just no!! NO!

__________________________________________________________________

I really enjoyed coming up with these outfits. They are very similar to the original characters outfits, but I do like their new outfits! Tell what you think in the comments. Also, let me know if you're going to be seeing Frozen 2 when it comes out! Okay, that's all for today. BYEEEE GUYS!!!

 Today's Encouraging Quote:

We have a a God who delights in the impossibilities - Billy Sunday

Today's Bible Verse:

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. - Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
