What I've been up to

Woah, it's been, SO long sense I've posted ah I did NOT mean for it to be this long you guys I'm so sorry!
First off, I want to congratulate the new author Gizmo634!! Even though I don't really know you, good luck with all your posts and I hope you can stick with blogging for a long time!
I know that was bad but I'm not very good with congratulating without it sounding cheesy XD
So, what I've been up to the past few months let's see.

I've been doing Swimming lessons for a few weeks and I think it will be over in three weeks or so, I'm not sure.

My brothers graduation party is in one week! This Saturday! I'm sooo excited for that, I only talk to a few people because I'm an introvert but I love the atmosphere of parties, everyone so happy and talking and all that! So We've been doing a lot of cleaning for that but it'll be worth it!

Trump has been a very good boy and he turned one last month! Ahhh! Time flew soo fast with him! He's still not up to his full size yet which I am looking forward to because I love big dogs, but then when he actually gets there I just now I will be thinking "Hey, can you shrink again?"

My mom, dad, Tox and Pob went to California to see my dad's dad and stepmom for two weeks! So me and Sarah go to take care of the house for that time! It was fun and not too stressful!

I got an MP3 player! And have a little over 360 songs on it! And sense I get a new song every week or so I still add new ones!

Mom signed me and Sarah up for a digital art program thing soon that is totally free! It is going to be an hour and a half long for I think four weeks and then there is a small chance we will be taking Trump for another dog obedience training class, although I don't really think he needs it.

Pob is learning to drive, which means :gulp: I'm next to learn. I turn fifteen in August and mom wants me and Sarah to take it together which means a one year delay so probably when I'm sixteen or maybe seventeen.

There is a chance I will be doing an actual post soon but it probably will not be about Animal Jam, because to be honest I have lost interest in Animal Jam, I still love the game and enjoy doing a few things on it like the mini games and talking and being silly with friends on it but now it's pretty much the game I only go to when buddies are on or play mini games on it when I'm bored. So I'm not sure what I would post about now besides IRL things and tips and tags or something
I'm still hoping my mom and dad will let me and Sarah get our own blog, I think there is a slight chance that they are sliiightly leaning towards it. Maybe we'll ask again in a week after the grad party and try to explain again that we would be doing to exact same thing we were doing before except we get to be more in control of comments and the blog layout and topics.

So that is all I can think of at the moment! So even thought that might not seem like that is a lot
If you have any questions for me please ask in the comments!

As I said I hope to be able to make a real post this coming week! So keep an eye out!

Meet The New Author - Gizmo634!

Helloooo, guys! I hope you're having a great Friday afternoon! Today I'm covering for Housemom418. It works out great that she decided not to post today, because I have some super exciting news to share, that I just can't wait until Sunday to tell.

---

Some of you might of heard me talk about my buddy, Gizmo634 in some of my blog posts. I've only known her for a few months, but she's seriously one of the sweetest people I've ever met on Animal Jam. She's funny, and totally gets my sense of humor!

She recently started a blog called The Animal Jam Nature Potato, and is a new Christian. I thought she would be a great addition to AJFC, especially since I had an open author slot! I've really been thinking and praying about adding her to the blog, and today I just felt like I got the "go ahead".

So...
Introducing our brand new author, Gizmo634!

She's going to be posting every Tuesday, and I'm so excited to have her be apart of our little blogging community! I think you all will really enjoy her posts!

If you were on AJFC about an hour ago, you probably would of noticed that I already added her animal avatar to the blog header, and redesigned a few little things around the blog. I had a section on the side of my blog from so many years ago, linking you to Coolcat's blog, and Karalee's blog. Both of those blogs are currently inactive, so I thought I would redesign that, and add Gizmo's blog instead! I also removed the AJFC "button", since we honestly don't need that. XD

It's always fun to grab a few screenshots of when I ask new authors if they would like to join the blog, so I got two from when I asked Gizmo!

She was so happy, and honestly I was too! I hope and pray that writing for this blog increases both her writing skills, and also helps her grow closer to God in her new Christian life.

Let's all give a warm welcome to Gizmo634 in the comments!!

Glitch Tutorial - How To Get Your Den Items And Your Buddy's Den Items To Collide!

Heyyyyy everyone! Man, I can't believe it's already Thursday! This week has flown by for me. I can't believe it's almost June... Almost 6 months through 2019. Like. What?? Even though this year is going by so fast, a lot has happened! Last year was pretty hard with my sister in the hospital, but I feel like this is the calm after the storm, and God redeeming what has been lost.

Anyways, let's get going with today's post!

---

Yesterday House418, House322, and I were messing around, trying to help me do the "no eye" glitch. Pretty sure the no eye glitch is patched now, but instead a different strange glitch happened! I'm not sure if this will work for everyone, but it worked for me and it was pretty strange. So, for those interested, here's a tutorial on how to do it. XD

1. Change into a seal (it could work with other animals, but I haven't tried it. I was just a seal for the other glitch I was trying to do).
2. Go to your buddies den.
3. Log onto a backup account, and also have it go to your buddies den. This part is optional, but it just make things easier if you're not good at multitasking. XD
4. Have your buddy count down to 3, to when they're going to change their den. If you're using the backup account method, have the "change animals" page up on your main account, and be ready to click an animal that is water only (like a shark, an octopus, or a turtle), and on your backup account, watch your buddy count down.
5. As soon as your buddy says "go", quickly change into the water only animal.
6. You'll be in Bahari Bay since you changed into a water only animal. Now go to your den.
7. If you successfully did the glitch, you should see your den items, and also your buddy's den items that you did the glitch at. But don't worry! If you refresh the page, only your items will be there. But it's pretty fun to see what your den items, and your buddy's items would look like if they collided into one den! You can move around the items and everything.

No worries though, you'll only be able to see this on your screen, and you cannot recycle your buddy's den items. It's not a hack or anything. XD It's just a fun thing to do! Here's some pictures of my den, and Housemom418's den collided.

This is the pathway leading up to my den, and it's pretty crazy looking!

This is the living room, and it doesn't look too bad, except there's a random robot on my wall. XD

The sitting area turned into a bedroom with a giant seal, yikes!

This is right outside the den. Two random windows side by side. XD

---

Will you be trying this glitch out? Let me know! I'd love to see your pictures if you have a blog to put them on!

It's Game Time!

Hello everybody, you are reading my past!

"Have you lost your mind? What are you talking about?"

Well, it's Tuesday you know?

"No..." :Checks calendar: "SEEE!? It's Wednesday."

Nope It's Tuesday for me.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever just move on now."

Why should I do that?

"Houze, it's posting day remember?"

What if I don't have anything?

"Houze! You HAVE to have something to write about!"

No worries, I do. :Smiles widely:
 _________________________________________________________________

So here we are! I am excited about today's post, because I said I was going to do another one of these months ago, I did a post like this on November 28th. So, it's been FOREVER, and it so happens I need some gems. I guess it's perfect timing then, right?

1) Eat 'Em Up...

I love this game! I've played this game dozens of times. It's also pretty easy, honestly, that probably why I've played it so many times. LOL I chose hard mode, which I am kind of regretting, but...I mean...It's worth the effort.

Round 1: 55 Gems and 100 fish eaten.

Round 2:66 Gems and 123 fish eaten.

Then, I used up all my lives! So, my final score was 77,790

Round 3: 34 Gems and I'm not sure how many fish were ate during this round, as it didn't tell me.

Totals: 155 Gems and 223+ fish ate.

2) Spider Zapper

I never really understood the concept of this game, but that's besides the point. I am not sure what to say about this game. It's uh...boring? It's definitely not my favorite and I am glad to be done with it!

Round 1: 25 Gems and 25 spiders hit.

Round 2: 28 Gems and 23 spiders hit.

Round 3: 29 Gems and 24 spiders hit.

Totals: 82 Gems and 72 spiders hit.

3) Gem Breaker

I like this game on AJPC, however, when I played this game on AJPW to get sapphires for a membership. This game made me sooooo mad! They always gave me colors that were not on the board, maybe I just haven't gone far enough in the PC version to get that experience.

Round 1: 18 Gems and 67,800 points.

Round 2: 21 Gems and 84,600 points.

Round 3: 23 Gems and 93,400 points.

Totals: 62 Gems and 245,800 points.

4) Phantom Fighter

This game I've played once, or never. I guess we'll see this goes. I already know I am going to fail at this epically.

Round 1: 6 Gems and 19 phantoms destroyed.

Round 2: 15 Gems and 32 phantoms destroyed.

Round 3:  I died during the third round. So sad.

Totals: 21 Gems and 51 phantoms destroyed. (That's pretty bad, if I must admit).

5) Pest Control

This game took forever, especially round 2, but I do love this game! It's kind of relaxing, actually it really is! I recommend increasing the speed of the pests though, otherwise it might be frustrating.

Round 1: (Easy mode) 179 Gems and 96,859 points.

Round 2: (Medium mode) 394 Gems and 269,617 points.

Round 3: (Hard mode) Then, I lost more than 5 pests, so the round was over. :cries: 135 Gems and 31,232 points.

Totals 708 Gems and 397,708 points.

___________________________________________________________________

That concludes this post! I ended up with 1,028 Gems! It's not terrible, I think I could've done better. I did improve from last post like this, where I only ended up with 522 gems. Thank you for reading y'all!

Rare Spiked Wristband Giveaway, And The 4th Annual Story Contest!

Heyyyyyy everyone! Hopefully you're having a fantastic Monday afternoon! I know this isn't my day to post, but since I never posted yesterday I thought I might as well post today. XD Sunday really isn't  a good day for me to post, because I'm always so tired from getting up early to set up for church, so by the middle of the day I really don't feel like posting. I might swap my posting day's from Sunday to Tuesday... I dunno.
Anywaaaays.

---

On the schedule for AJFC's birthday extravaganza, is a giveaway! This time I'm going to be giving away a rare purple spiked wristband!
*CORRECTION: earlier I said I was giving away a purple spiked wristband, it's actually a rare red short spiked wristband. I'm giving a purple wristband away to the winner of the fashion show. Why did I say I was giving away a purple one in the giveaway??? XDD

All you have to do to enter, is comment down below with your username, and the reason why you like to read AJFC, and you'll be entered to win! If you just randomly stumbled across this blog, and don't really have a reason why you read AJFC, just put the way you found the giveaway in the comments, instead of the reason why you read AJFC. XD

---

Now onto the second part of this post, which is pretty exciting!

Every year since 2016, I've held a story contest, which has always been one of the big highlights of the year. This year will be the 4th time we've done this, which is super exciting! I've loved reading all the stories that have been entered in previous years, and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this year.

This years theme is going to be...

"Summer Mystery"

To clarify, I don't mean mystery by murder mystery, or anything weird like that. By summer mystery, I want to see something related to summer break, and a big mystery that has taken place in a group of friends. Maybe one of the friends has left the group notes around Jamaa, but nobody seems to know what it means. Something like that, I think would be a lot of fun!

Here are the contest rules!

---

Rules:

  1. Your story must be 3-5 chapters long. Each chapter must be 750 (minimum) -950 words (maximum) words.
  2. To enter, you must put your story in the comments of AJFC (please put your username in the Name/Url to enter), or give me a private link to your story using GoogleDocs, or a private link through your blog.
  3. Please do NOT include ANY personal information in your story. Such as your phone number, or your parents phone number, your name, email, home address, etc. If you do, you will be disqualified from the contest.
  4. Please do NOT copy ANYONE else's stories.
  5. You MUST have your stories in the comments by July 4th, 2019. And for safety reasons, I will only have your story published in the comments for a few minutes, then save it in my writing program, so no one can cheat and use parts of your story in theres.
  6. Please do NOT include ANYTHING: inappropriate, anything with rude humor, anything with language, drugs, anything with God's name in vain (such as Oh My ...), ghosts/spooky things in your story. If you do, you will disqualified.
  7. Please, do NOT find stories online to enter in this contest.
  8. The theme of your story must be both Animal Jam and "summer mystery" themed!
---

Sorry if that sounds harsh, I was just copying and pasting what I put last year. XDD

So you can enter the story contest anytime between now, and July 4th! The winner will be announced on July 7th.

The person who wins the story contest, gets a pretty awesome prize...

The winner gets to write a guest post on AJFC!

However, if you're already an author on AJFC, you can definitely still enter! And if you end up winning, you'll get a spiked collar or wristband on Animal Jam instead.

I know last years contest was Christian themed, and I realized that a lot of people probably didn't enter because of that. Over the past year, I started to realize that not every single party or contest I have on the blog has to be Christian themed just because I'm a Christian. I realized that reaching people for Christ isn't going to happen if I try making people follow a bunch of rules to enter a contest that's Christian themed, if that makes sense. Instead, we reach people for Christ by showing our love for them, not guilting someone into something, and refusing them acceptance into a contest just because they aren't "one of us". That's why this year, the story contest doesn't have a Christian theme. If you want to write your story with a Christian theme, that's totally fine! But you don't have to do that. Everyone is welcome here, and the last thing I want to do is make someone upset because they can't enter, just because they aren't a Christian.

I wish you all good luck with your stories, and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!

If you want to tell your friends about this contest, or post about it on social media, you can use this image!

Fennec Foxes Have Officially Arrived - 5/16/19 Update!

Hello helloooo everyone! I hope you're having a great Thursday! Today me and my mom went to lunch at Cracker Barrel with a friend from church, to talk about some church stuff. Oh man, I was sooo full. I had a grilled chicken salad, a baked potato, and a peach cobbler (heavenly) for dessert. IT WAS SO GOOD. Now I'm just gonna relax, and probably write an outside of AJ assignment that I have... It'z a good day.

----

Todaaay Animal Jam updated, and it was so much better than the last update! Let's jump right into it!

Fennec foxes are finally here! I've been waiting for fennec foxes to come, and am super glad they're here!

They're for sale in the diamond shop for 10 diamonds!

Since I know some of you are non-member and can't get the fennec fox (and since I myself was curious about this before it was officially released), I wanted to show you guys the actions!

This is the fennec fox just standing,

Dance (I have no idea what it's doing)

Sleep

Hop (IT LOOKS SO CUTE)

Play (again, no idea what it's doing)

And sit!

My favorite thing about the fennec fox is it's huge ears! But my least favorite thing is how tiny it's body is. It looks cute, but it's hard to put body accessories on it, since you can't really see them.

The summer carnival is back! I've always loved the summer carnival, and I can't wait to play some games there!

There's actually quite a few prizes this time, one of them being the coveted parasol...

Which some one of my friends traded a ton for, and another one of my friends gave me a bunch of diamonds for the ones I had... So yeah, don't go trading for parasols right before the summer carnival comes back. I'd kinda pause on trading for any old summer carnival item, unless the item says rare. You never know what old items might come back to the carnival!

Pet fennec foxes are also here! Before they officially released, I saw a bunch of people selling them in their my shops, so one of my friends bought one for me.

Awww... They teeny tiny little purple fennec fox looks so ferocious with those eyes. XDD

The spring cottage is also back, which is one of my favorite dens! I haven't used it in a long time though, because I have so many of my favorite items in it that it's super laggy to be in.

It's for sale in the Diamond Shop for 7 diamonds!

Graham's Workshop is back! AKA the never ending adventure... I kind of wish that Graham's Workshop had a beginning and end to it. I also feel that way about Phantom's Beacon (that is the name of it... right??), but with both of those adventures it's cool that you can save up your points to buy items!

You can play it now by clicking on the party list, and clicking "Graham's Workshop"!

The spring armor is here, and the flower den set will be coming to the Jamaa shops any time now! I'm super excited to buy the den items, I especially want that archway! Here's what the spring armor looks like on a fennec fox... It's rather... Interesting.

If that was a real fennec fox, I don't think it would be too happy about wearing a giant flower on it's head. XDD

The Conservation Museum in Appondale has a new exhibit called "Animals of Africa", which I'm pretty sure has been in the museum before. I love the museum, and it's sad that not many people even go to it anymore. Also on the right side of the page is a reminder that summer carnival items will be added to the carnival all summer long, which is pretty cool! I'm wondering if AJ is going to be releasing any brand new items, or is just going to have old items return.

---

What do you think of the update? I think it's a whole lot better than the last update!

---

Here's todays Bible verse!

Psalm 42:11

Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again - my Savior and my God!

God made you. Uniquely. Beautifully. Intentionally. Purposefully. Wonderfully.

Why Pray?

What crazy adventure is Houze on today?

__________________________________________________________________

Hello guys! It's another Wednesday! I really want to apologize for not posting last week. I don't really have an excuse other than the fact I had no idea what to post! However, I am here today! This week I am finishing up with school which is very exciting. I've been busy on final exams for each of my classes. I've finished 4 of my 6 classes! Okay, enough rambling! Let's get straight into the post today!

Today, I am going to be talking about something I think we all don't do often enough. What is that thing? It's prayer! Over the last week or so, I've been reading a book called The Prayer Life by Andrew Murray.

It really allowed me to see a whole new perspective on prayer and what it really is and how it can change your life! The other day, I was praying for an answer to the question, "How do I not take things for granted." The next day, I got the answer in the form of a sermon I was listening to! It was truly amazing to get the answer like that!

Prayer is a simple thing, but yet it's so hard to do. It's simply communicating with God, but yet it's so powerful. Many old time Christians saw this, one being George Muller, who ran an orphanage in England. It is said that, George Muller ran out of food in the orphanage. Muller began to pray. As the tables were set up and the children started to come to the table a man showed up to the front door. He said that he was having trouble sleeping, so he got up and made some bread for the kids. A few minutes later, a milk cart broke down in front of the orphanage. The milk would have been spoiled by the time he could get it fixed, so he gave the milk to Muller for the kids, just enough for the 300 kids.

Now that we've talked about a few experiences in prayer; let's see what the Bible says.

1) In Matthew 26:41, we see that the spirit is willing to pray, but our flesh is the one that is weak.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

As people, we don't really want to pray because it shows us that we are weak. It reveals that we need God to intervene in our lives to be able to overcome the temptation that comes our way. In this passage, Jesus was praying in the garden of Gethsemane.  Peter, James, and John were supposed to be praying as well, but they went to sleep instead, showing that they were weak.

2) Prayer is what allows God to show you something, according to Jeremiah 33:3,

Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.

It's interesting that often times, I'll be praying a Bible question that I have, then the next sermon I hear is something on that question, or someone is simply talking about it. It happens all too often that I know it's not just happenstance. It's God! Revealing to me the answers to the things that I am praying about.

3) Praying gives us mercy and grace to get through this life.

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. - Hebrews 4:16

In this life trouble comes, it's just part of life. However, we can find God's grace in those times. It can be hard to go through a tough time even with God, but it's so much harder when you don't go to God for strength. God will help and carry you through the troubles in life, if you go to Him.

4) We are to be confident that he hears us!

In the book of 1 John, he talks about fellowship with God, chapter 5 verse 14 says,

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.

When we pray, God does hear us! He may not always answer the way you think He should, but He does answer! This is something we should be confident in. His ears are always open. He is never too busy to hear from His children. That should bring you great joy as it shows that He cares for you!

__________________________________________________________________

That's all for today's post! Thank you for taking the time to read this post! You guys are amazing!

Today's Encouraging Quote:

True prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal performance. It is far deeper than that - it is spiritual transaction with the Creator of Heaven and Earth. - Charles Spurgeon.
