Top 10 Bible Verses and Songs That Have Spoken to Me 😃

Hello!😉 Hey! 😀Hi! 😏 Hoi! 😎 Bonjour! 😊 Hola!😁 Salut 😄 Hallo 😶
Who knew I spoke 6 languages?
Okay, okay! I admit I don't! I just umm...used, uh... Google Translate... :raises eyebrows: I can barely speak English, let alone 5 other languages. 😝

So today's post, and well, my only post. XD I am SOOOOOOO HAPPY to have the opportunity to write on here! You have like no idea! Anyways, if you haven't guessed by the title, today we are going to be talking about the top 10 bible verses and songs that have spoken to me! Plus a little bonus top 10 towards the end.

Okay, first up we have the bible verses. 📖 (These are in no specific order).

1. Philippians 4:6-8 and 13.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (KJV)

I know this is technically, 4 verses, but they all go together. These are verses that I typically run to when I start to fear or worry. I've actually memorized all 4! Which is something that I highly recommend, if you struggle with something, find verses that correspond to that thing, and memorize them.

2. Revelation 22:20

He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. (KJV)

I personally love this one because it's the last prayer of the bible, by John. He wanted to see Jesus Christ come back in his time, and we should too. We should be looking for him to return everyday. I like to write my prayers in a journal, sometimes. It helps me remember what I was praying for at a certain time, and seeing if God has answered them. Anyways, "Even so come, Lord Jesus" is what I like to end the writing with.

3. 1 John 1:7 and 9

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV)

I sure am glad that the blood of Jesus cleanses from ALL sin, as verse 7 states. I am glad that he is faithful, even when I am not!

4. Psalms 34:4

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. (KJV)

When I read this verse a few months ago, I had been praying that my fear of messing up would go away. It was a literal answer to my prayer. It's a day I'll never forget!

5. Hebrews 13:8

Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (KJV)

This is pretty self explanatory, but I sure do appreciate, that I lean on Jesus Christ, who never changes.

6. 2 Timothy 1:7

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
(KJV)

This is very similar to the Philippians 4:6-8 and 13. So, I am not going to talk too much about this one.

7. 1 Thessalonians 4:12-18

That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words. (KJV)

This one is pretttttty long, but it's such a great passage, where it talks about the rapture! It's just so encouraging to know that this life doesn't last long, and that I can always look for His coming.

8. Galatians 6:9

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. (KJV)

This one, is encouraging to me to keep to doing right, even when it's hard.

9. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4

Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (KJV)

I am glad that the gospel is simple, and that I don't have to work to get or keep, because if I did. I wouldn't make it even close! It's simple as; admitting you are a sinner, believing that Jesus Christ died, was buried, and rose again the 3rd day, for you sins, and confessing Christ as YOUR Lord and Saviour.

10. Lastly, we have; John 3:16

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)

Of course I HAD to include this one! A good list is not complete without it. I am glad that I've believed of the Lord Jesus Christ, and now I have everlasting life.

Now on to the songs...or should I say MOOSIC? XD (Again in no specific order).

By the way all of these songs can be found on YouTube, if any of you were interested in looking for them. 😜

1. God's Been Good by Legacy Five

I am not exactly sure when I first heard this song, but the time I vividly remember listening to in was in the summer of 2014 after 11:00 PM.

2. When I Lay My Issac Down (multiple people sing it, but my favorite is C.T and Becky Townsend).

This time God was really dealing with me about giving a few things up, but it was hard because they were my Issacs. Listening to this song was a turning point for me. I actually stumbled across this song in a playlist that had a bunch C.T and Becky Townsend songs in it.

3. It's Under The Blood by The Hawks Trio. Again this song is sang by many, but this group is my favorite.

The first time I heard this song, or really paid attention to it, was when I went on a youth trip with my
church's youth group. I remember this being the first time, that I ever went down to the alter. I was overwhelmed of how far God brought me!

4. What a Friend We Have in Jesus (Classic Hymn)

This is a good hymn! This was a song that I leaned on when we moved from my small hometown, to a huge city!

5. To Rescue a Sinner Like Me by The Hawks Trio.

Well, this song is pretty self-explanatory if you were to listen to it, but it talks about how Jesus would come down as God, to save a sinner.

6. Why Should I Worry (I didn't realize almost none of these songs have a specific artist)! Anyway, my favorite singer of this one is Bethany Powell Chamberlain (No, I don't know her in life).

This one, like many of the verses taught me that, as a Christian, we have no need for worry or for fear, because we are in the hands of the Creator!

7. How Deep the Father's Love for Us by Selah.

This was one of the first songs that I learned on guitar, so it would stand to reason, why it's special tto me. Honestly, though it has a great message.

8. Didn't I walk on the Water by The Dunaways. (not exactly sure if it's their original or not).

Again, it's one of those songs that I run to, when I start to fear.

9. He Knows My Name by The Rochester Family. (Again, people sing it ALL the time. It's really kind of hard to track the real people down) XD

It's just good to know sometimes that even when you feel lonely, and like NO ONE knows who are or seem to care. God does, he knows every step you take. He watching you at all times, and that should be comforting.

10. Bury My Heart on the Mission Field Lord by West Coast Baptist Collage.

Well, it pretty much speaks for itself. You don't have to go to a foreign land to be a "missionary" a missionary can be right where you are, by telling those around you. However, this girl believes that she is called to be one of those to a foreign land.

Lastly, I decided I would also add some of my favorite bible characters. Yes, these are you typical "favorites," but these truly are my favorites. Here, I'll just list them, instead of rambling on what makes them special.

1. Jesus (Duh!) Found really throughout the bible, but his main story is in Matthew through John

2. Daniel Daniel 1-12

3. David  He is also mentioned throughout, but mainly in 1 Samuel 16 until about 1 Kings 2, Then again in 1 Chronicles 11 until 2 Chronicles 9ish. (The beginning of 2 Chronicles is talking about Solomon, his son, but it still mentions David. A good amount of the Psalms, were probably penned by David as well.

4. Ruth Ruth 1-4.

5. Esther Esther 2-9

6. Shamgar Judges 3:31, he was the 3rd judge, and only mentioned in 1 verse.

7. Samuel He is mentioned mainly in the first 5 chapters, but is mentioned throughout 1 and 2 Samuel.

8. Paul the Apostle He wrote the books of Romans through Philemon, and possibly Hebrews. He is first mentioned in Acts chapter 8, as "Saul."

9. Jonah Jonah 1-4

10. Elisha 1 Kings 19:16 until 2 Kings 13:21. He is the one that asked for a double portion.

Now, here are some honorable mentions for all 3 categories:

Bible Verses: Matthew 6:25-34; John 10:11; James 1:22-23; Romans 1:16; and John 13:20

Songs: A World We Never Touch, This Blood, If That Isn't Love, Did I Mention, and The Price of a Book (This is such a good one)!

Characters: Abraham, Sarah, Job, Josiah, and Mephosheth.

I would like to end this post with a "thank you," to all the bloggers, here. As well as ALL the readers. You girls are truly amazing, and you've always been there when I needed you most. 😀 Well, I guess this is the conclusion! I enjoyed every moment of it!

Today's encouraging Christian quote:
"Being a Christian is more than an instantaneous conversion. It is a DAILY PROCESS whereby you grow to be more and more LIKE CHRIST." - Billy Graham

Also, we have today's bible verse!
Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. - Psalms 139:23-24 (KJV)

Thank you, so much for making this, Gracie!

PS. Sorry for the slight change in colors of the writing. I am not really sure what happened! I've changed the font color like 5 times now, and noting has happened, other than changing it to actual colored, but I wanted black- pure black as my main color, gray as my verse color. XD Technology sometimes. C:
