Mom and I were working on our novel (yes, we're writing a novel together) for lots of the day, and when we weren't doing that, we were at the library (I have previously mentioned she volunteers Tuesdays), or doing schoolwork, or....

--In essence, blame my mother for my post's lack of Thomas Brodie-Sangster! 😂😂



No, really, don't. 😋 Please do blame me for it, in all seriousness. I'm very sorry about the delay, and I'll have it for you by next week's post.



HOWEVER.

That is not the end of my post -- I can't just leave you all with that! I have some pictures of sketches to share, and one screenshot of some apparent Siri sass.

Apparently she needs me to ask nicely, because my cellular data connection at the time was fine.

This isn't actually a pencil sketch, it was finished in pen... a bit of Doctor Who chibi fanart, doodled onto a piece of laminated cardstock that came with a water bottle and details its features.

This girl was intended to be sort of pirate-y... she actually reminds me of my friend IRL... and yes, I actually have a friend in real life! Surprise! New thing from the reclusive blogger! 😁

(Actually she's technically a meet-once-a-week-to-babysit coworker, but we've gotten on well for quite a while now, so... friend.)

Ugh, this one looks funky. Attempted to draw a downward-tilted head, but just ended up with a squish-faced raccoon lady. To put it in fewer, less ridiculous words, perspective and shading needs work!

This is the one I like best. The posture worked out pretty well, I feel, and the expression works! YES!! *fistpump* Caption reads "IDK who she is, but I think she'd be a pretty good Doctor Who companion. What's she running from? Slitheen?" (P.S. That last bit is a fandom reference, for those who don't get it. Don't worry, you didn't miss much.)

Welp, that's all I got for you! Hopefully the plethora of pictures helped to make up for the lack of big-brown-eyed actors in orange coats. 😏
