So Much To Be Thankful For!

Helloooo everyone, and Happy Thanksgiving! Graciepopstar91 here!

I hope your Thanksgiving is going great! Currently I'm writing this on Wednesday night, but all day today we've been cooking.

Tomorrow (err today by the time you're reading this) we're going to be having turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, collard greens, cranberry sauce, olives, and rolls, and apple pie and pumpkin pie for dessert. What are you guys having? ^.^

This year, I feel I have so much to be thankful for.

This time last year, I don't think I would of imagined we'd be living in a new house, my anxiety wouldn't be as bad, and I'd have a closer relationship with Jesus.

Near Christmastime last year, I feel like I really wanted 'fame' for whatever reason.

As you may recall, during Christmastime Bepper buddied me, and I dunno- some people were fans of me (o.o). I think that got to my head a bit. People were constantly wanting to buddy me, and were begging for my seal. It honestly was annoying. XD

Though I felt like I was someone famous, I wrote that story 'Fame', that you may remember from Animal Jam Community. I think I was trying to prove that I wasn't like that. (To my self, or to my friends, I don't know. XD)

I remember once someone sent me a non-rare spiked collar, and I believe my friend asked me who sent it. I said, "Oh probably just a fan.". She said that I was acting like how I was acting in my 'Fame' story, and I'm pretty sure I tried to deny it. But now, I realize that she was so right. I was acting like that.

So, truly, I'm so thankful that I'm not like that, and I'm thankful for my friends still being my friends after all of that. I really, truly am thankful for you guys. ^.^

I'm also so thankful for pastor Louie Giglio. Since, I believe August, we've been watching his sermons a lot. I can't really put my finger on it, but ever since we started watching him, and I read his book Goliath Must Fall, I don't nearly have as much anxiety. He dealt with anxiety years ago, which I think really made me like his sermons. He actually dealt with anxiety, so I felt I could relate to him. My dad would talk about how to get through anxiety before, or my mom would say things about how to get over it, but I just couldn't relate to it. My mom had a bit of anxiety before, but I don't know if it was as frequent for her as it was me. But for Louie, he had anxiety every night. But eventually, he was able to get through it.

Once we were watching one of Louie's sermons, and he wanted their church to do a 31 day 'S.O.A.P' in Mark. S.O.A.P stands for scripture, observation, application, and prayer. It sounded good, and I decided to start that. Later I found on their website how much to read every day. I first started doing it on my Kindle, then on my birthday I got The Jesus Bible (Louie wrote some of the commentary's in it I believe, and I think the was the editor on them), and started reading it in there, and writing out my daily S.O.A.P on the side of the page. I did another S.O.A.P in Luke, then I went back where I was in Exodus. I think that really helped me read my Bible everyday. I got into the habit of reading it everyday for a long time, so I didn't want to stop.

So yes, I'm really thankful that God used Louie's sermons in my life. ^.^

Here's todays Bible verse!

Ephesians 2:8–9

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

God made you. Uniquely. Beautifully. Intentionally. Purposefully. Wonderfully.

Happy Thanksgiving!
