The Importance of Being Friendly - Arctic's First Official Post!

Greetings, Jammers - Arctic here! Last week, I filled in for Ja - but this is my first official post on the Animal Jam Friendship Community! For those of you who don't know me yet, here's a quick introduction:

My username on AJ is Arcticstar8404, but most people call me Arctic or Arcticstar. I'm a proud Canadian, and I'm currently in grade 10.

I love reading, writing, art, and most of all: music (I especially love listening to classic rock)

I've been on the Animal Jam Community blog (oldest AJ blog in existence) since 2014, and became an administrator for that blog a few years later. I post there every Sunday!

What else... Oh yeah - if you see me in Jamaa I'll be happy to chat! These are my three main animals (though lately I use my raccoon the most!):

Alright, let's get going onto the actual post!

It's currently too early in the morning and there are no new items in stores yet! I'm up especially early for school. If an item is in stores later today when I go on, I may update the post. Sorry about that!

When I was in the diamond shop looking to get some pets, I noticed something odd. A layering issue, perhaps? It appears to be that AJHQ has accidentally placed two suggestion buttons in the same spot:

I apologize that it isn't the easiest to see. But if you look, you can see that there's one button overlapping the other! Weird, eh?

And now, a short story about something that happened to me in Jamaa:

I was in Coral Canyons a couple days ago, having a good time. It was getting late, so I was just about to log off when I received a jam a gram (username has been blotted out in images for privacy)

Naturally, I was curious to see what it was! So, I checked and it was someone asking if I had a Wood Floor!

Now, the Wood Floor is not on my trade list, and I had no interest in trading for it. I politely replied:

"Yes, I do. But I'm not interested in trading it, sorry!"

To which they responded:

Maybe they didn't understand me I thought. 

So, I gave a more direct response: "No, sorry!"

To which they responded:

Well that escalated quickly! I really don't like people who angrily beg on Animal Jam. From past experience, though, I knew that responding equally angrily wouldn't do me any good. 

So I replied: "Perhaps not, but it is my item. Have a good day!"

To which they said:

The moral of the story is: don't ever talk to other Jammers and you won't get rude Jam a grams.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding! My point is that even though you might get in an upsetting situation, it is important to be respectful and treat people kindly (even if they aren't kind to you). If we all did this, the world would be a much friendlier place! So, I challenge you all to go about your days living a life of friendliness and integrity, to the best of your abilities.
